Okay, this album isn't very good. I can admit that. It was my first attempt, and it kind of flopped. I didn't think it was bad at the time but in retrospect I don't like this album that much anymore. I actually do like a lot of the beats on here. I sampled super mario world and mother 3 on this like a dork. I think my favorite beat is WITH LOVE* FROM ME.
There's 16 versions of this album rendered and saved in my music folder. It went through a ton of iterations (I rewrote it three times.) I had no idea what the name of this album was going to be. I'm going to be honest I don't even remember where the idea of Carolyne came from. The girl on the cover agreed to do a photoshoot/be on the cover in like early 2022 and we didn't actually shoot the cover until summer of 2023. My girlfriend at the time broke up with me the day before or after this shoot (i can't remember anymore) and it really sucked lmfao.
The name "CAROLYNE IS NOT REAL" felt right. I absolutely love how all the album art turned out. I think the concept and visuals rock. This cover was designed by me, with my friend katrice portraying miss Carolyne. I don't know what else to say besides that the actual music is just not very good. so it goes. Scrapped name ideas include "Last November", "Carolyne Dayton" and "Carolyne." Carolyne Dayton is actually an anagram of a real person's name. It's been years since I last saw/talked to this person, and i likely never will again.
I can't listen to this album anymore. I really, really do not like it. I know there's a few people out there who do fw it though. I appreciate you guys :)
